Description of Natural Gas for Industrial Purpose
With the characteristics of safety, environmental protection, economy and convenience, the natural gas is extensively applied in various industries including metallurgy, building materials, food, ceramics, power generation and clothes.
Advantages of Using Natural Gas in the Industrial Sector
Safety – Being non-poisonous, easy to disperse, lighter than the air and not easy to turn into the explosive gas by means of accumulation, the natural gas is comparatively safe.
Environmental Protection – A premium clean energy featuring environmental protection and hardly containing any sulfur, dust and other harmful substances, the natural gas generates less carbon dioxide than other fossil fuels in the process of combustion, which causes less green house effect. Hence, it is capable of improving the environmental quality basically.
Economy – Being so clean without generating harmful substances to the equipment in the course of combustion, the natural gas is able to extend the lifespan of the industrial equipment, boilers and smelters, which is beneficial to the user in reduction of repair and maintenance expenses. It is easy to control the combustion temperature (± 5oC) to ensure product quality and lower the scrap rate. The price of natural gas has all along been lower than the gas-diesel and the liquefied petroleum gas. The use of natural gas to replace the gas-diesel and the liquefied petroleum gas has substantial economic benefits.
Convenience – The delivery of natural gas through the pipeline provides greater convenience for the users.
